I purchased the new KIA Picanto after conducting extensive research on hatchback automobiles in the Pakistani Market. So far, it's been fantastic, having the ideal look and feel. The hatchback's athletic look and sophisticated interior design with a plush cabin were both appealing to me. The car's comfort and driving characteristics are excellent, and the car's tiny size make it ideal for city driving. The automobile is also quite competitively priced, in addition to having a wonderful suite of features and excellent drivability.

Few Factors that keeps Kia Picanto in the Race

1.     Comfortability

Having owned the car for approximately one and a half year I can proudly say that this was the best choice I could’ve made. The vehicle has very soft and comfy seats moreover the bucket type seats moreover wide and spacious help you relax and enjoy the long drives

2.      Exterior

The hatchback has exterior looks like none other in this category. The car is equipped with halogen DRL’s which adds to the presence and uniqueness of the hatchback.

3.     Safety

When it comes to hatchbacks in Pakistan, safety isn't a top priority, and the majority of vital safety features are missing. The Kia Picanto, on the other hand, is equipped with a slew of high-tech safety measures. These safety elements ensure that the customer and their family remain safe regardless of the situation. Dual airbags, ABS, ISOFIX child seats, seatbelts for everyone, and excellent build quality are among the safety features.

4.     Interior

Kia Picanto has excellent interior room for five passengers in both models. Two-spoke, motor-driven power steering with electronic power steering. Tilt-adjustable steering and trip-meter steering control are included. The tachometer, trip-computer, and manual transmission shift indicator are all displayed in the instrument cluster. Headrests, seatbelts for all three passengers, and ISOFIX are all available in the rear seats.

MP3 integrated with radio, AUX, USB, digital clock, bluetooth audio, and phone function are all standard features on the Picanto. Both models contain four speakers to provide a good listening experience. As an option, a 9-inch LCD player is offered.

5.     Engine

In Pakistan, Kia Picanto is equipped with a 998cc MPI inline 3-cylinder gasoline engine that complies with Euro 2. This engine produces a maximum torque of 9.6/3,500 Nm/rpm and a maximum power of 69/6,200 hp/rpm. The vehicle has a very good engine power that can enable you to travel uphill and on motorways as well without the fear that the car might let you down.

Areas of Improvement

1.      Headlamps

The vision of the headlights are not upto the mark and makes it difficult to see obstacles when driving at night. There’s a lot of room for improvement when it comes to illumination both inside the interior and exterior

2.     Fuel Average

I’ve had a very bad experirnce with the fuel average of the car and fail to understand why a 1000cc car is giving such a dissatisfactory average of around 9KM/L to 11KM/L during domestic drives while a 1000cc engine like in Cultus and WagonR are providing the users with a very good fuel average. To be in the race I believe that kia should take this problem seriously

3.     Distribution Issues

Due to unavailability of the automobile and due to distribution issues, Kia picante today is being sold at 200,000 PKR own which is limiting the purchase of the vehicle as well as creating an adverse image of the company in the minds of the people

 Competitors

1.       Suzuki Cultus (VXR/VXL)

2.       Suzuki WagonR

3.       United Alpha
