User Review:

I bought my Suzuki swift 2021 model slightly driven at the end of 2021. It falls into the hatchback

category of vehicles. It was among the last few units before the Suzuki company discontinued the 1st

generation of Suzuki swift. I had it purchased at a price of rupees 2 million. Although the car has very

few direct competitors from the hatchback category but based on the engine size category, none of the

competition was available even under a price of rupees 3 million. It’s a powerful vehicle having a good

power to weight ratio producing 90 HP @6000 rpm, which makes it valuable to money for sure.

Key Factors:

1.      build quality

Without any doubt, the build quality of the cars is extraordinary with a comfortable ride and minimized

 cabin noise.

2.      Spacing

To my surprise, even after being a hatchback, it has a decent leg space and allows the person riding gets

a comfortable posture in both the front and the back seats.

3.      Road Grip

The width of the car makes a positive impact on the road Grip and smooth handling of the car compared

 to the competitors.

4.      Value for money

For a price bracket of Rupees 2 million, it’s definitely a very comfortable and powerful car. Moreover,

many of the competitors lie at least Rupees 1 million higher in the pricing point. So, it’s definitely a

 high value to money product.

5.      Parts availability

Being a part of the Suzuki family, pats are readily available and at affordable prices across the country.

Few improvements I see in the car.

1.     Sound system:

The quality of the sound system provided by the company is just okay and not very good

which could’ve been improved and added great value to consumers.

2.      Trunk material quality:

I’ve noticed that the trunk cover has its quality being a bit compromised as it has a few

dents at the spots where the consumers usually place their hands or thumb to push the

 trunk while closing it.

3.      Stock leather seat covers:

This is something that I really wish would’ve been a part of the car at stock, which

would’ve contributed a lot to the interior.

Attractive features from Suzuki swift:

1.          Spacious (even for a guy like me who is above 6 ft)

2.          Good power to weight ratio

3.          High stability

4.          Decent ground clearance

5.          Good quality stock tires (Yokohama)

6.          The good build quality of interior and exterior

Competitors:

Honda city:

It falls in the same category based on the engine size that is 1399 Cc engine, however in my opinion it’s

not as comfortable and has a much higher price to offer.

Price: Rupees 3 million +

Toyota Yaris

Toyota Yaris comes with the same engine size, however even a higher price than Honda city which

means it’s a not go to car compared to Suzuki swift considering the price factor.

Price: Rupees 3.2 million

Toyota Passo

It would’ve been a good option to consider however they’re imported and in the same price bracket,

one would get a much older and used model of the car which is a drawback for someone like me who

wants to go for a new model car.

Price: 2 million plus.

Changan alsavin

Changan Alsvin comes in the compact sedan category, which is not very spacious, having a bigger

trunk with less spacing and a much higher price bracket, I guess it would be an obvious no because at

least for now it’s in the testing phases and availability of parts would be a major question.

Price: (3.4) Million
